We have all the big-city amenities (and sometimes the big-city headaches!), yet our city is still small enough that people know each other and share an interest in and commitment to their city. This commitment on the part of Tempe's residents is evident in our homes, schools, businesses, religious centers and parks. It also is evident our neighbors' involvement in and commitment to community activities, events and issues. Our mission at the Tempe Town News is to help retain and encourage Tempe's unique sense of community by offering information that is specific to the area. We're committed to producing a publication that serves and benefits our neighbors by exploring issues that are most important to them. Each month the paper offers feature stories that cover a wide array of topics, both serious and light-hearted, along with items about the people, events and activities that shape our community. We also offer an avenue for local businesses, volunteer, civic, religious, educational and other organizations to get information to the public. The Tempe Town News is distributed in the neighborhoods that lie in the area from the Salt River bed south to Guadalupe Road and between Priest Drive and Price Road. More than 16,000 copies of the paper are mailed to homes in the area, and another 4,000 are available on racks in many key locations.
