Annual MLK brunch honors individuals and groups in their commitments to diversity
The 10th Annual Tempe Human Relations Commission MLK Diversity Awards Brunch will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21st, at The Buttes Resort, 2000 Westcourt Way, Tempe. The awards brunch will honor community members and groups who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity in Tempe. The brunch and awards ceremony will feature keynote speaker Alonzo Jones, Director for Multicultural Student Services at Arizona State University. Mr. Jones’ address will be: “ECHOS OF A KING: Reflections on the Words, Writings, and Life of One Human Being who Changed the Course of World History.” In an effort to make this a true community event, the cost of the brunch has been set at only $10, thus making the event accessible to everyone who would like to attend.
