| Candidates forum open to public |

The public is invited to attend a Tempe Council Candidates Forum 6:30-8:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the North Tempe Multi-generation Center, 1555 N. Bridalwreath Road. The League of Women Voters will moderate the forum. All council candidates have been invited.
There will be a meet and greet time with light refreshments from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. The forum will start at 6:45 p.m. Candidates will be allowed to introduce themselves before they take questions from the organizations and the audience. Candidates also will be allowed closing statements. Immediately following the City Council Candidates’ Forum, North Tempe Neighborhood Association (NTNA) will host “Conversations with our Mayor,” as part of its monthly meeting. Mayor Hugh Hallman will have an opportunity to explain his plans and also address questions from the audience. The time from 8:15 until 8:45 p.m. will be reserved for the mayor’s presentation. NTNA business will follow the mayor’s presentation. The public is welcome to visit with council candidates and the mayor afterwards. The sponsors of the forum are NTNA, QualiTe (Quality of Life for Everyone in Tempe) and the League of Women Voters.
