Tempe Little Theatre holding auditions
Tempe Little Theatre will hold auditions for its upcoming production of 5 Women Wearing The Same Dress on Monday, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25 from 7-9 p.m. at the Tempe Performing Arts Center, 132 East Sixth Street in Downtown Tempe.  These are open auditions and no appointments will be given.  Needed are five women ages 20-35 and one man in his 30’s. People interested is auditioning are asked to bring a resume and a headshot if available.  Cold readings from the script will be required.  

5 Women Wearing The Same Dress was written by Alan Ball and will be directed for Tempe Little Theatre by Janis Webb.  In this deliciously dark comedy five identically dressed bridesmaids spend the afternoon of a wedding reception discussing the horrors and nightmares of the wedding, while at the same time discovering a common bond of sisterhood.  Funny, irreverent and slightly outrageous, Five Women is “Sex in the City” meets “Steen Magnolias.”

All performances of 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress will be held at the new Tempe Center for the Arts located at 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway at Tempe Town Lake.   Performance dates are May 9, 10, 16, 17 at 8 p.m., May 10, 11, 17, 18 at 2 p.m., and May 15 at 7 p.m.  Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors (55+) and students.  Reservations can be made by calling TCA at 480-350-2822 or by visiting their website at www.tempe.gov/TCA after April  1, 2008.
