Carrie Braver of Tempe stars as Audrey in Valley Youth Theatre’s production of the musical comedy, “Little Shop of Horrors,” on stage April 4-20. A nerdy lovesick florist gets more than he bargained for when he raises a giant, man-eating plant from outer space. This campy musical spoof on a 1960s sci-fi thriller will delight kids of all ages.

A musical comedy by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, VYT’s “Little Shop of Horrors” also will feature California-based The Puppet Company’s custom-made puppet plants representing the different stages of the man-eating plant grow from a small hand puppet to a larger-than-life Costume/Puppet that “eats” whole actors. Performance times are: Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 per person, adults and children 2 and up.
