Up close with desert animals
To avoid daytime desert temperatures over 110 degrees, many Arizona animals are active at night. Join a docent from the Phoenix Zoo and some of her animal guests to find out “who who who” will help you learn about native nocturnal animals, 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Changing Hands Bookstore, 6428 S. McClintock Drive.
All are welcome, but this Phoenix Zoo animal event is most appropriate for ages 7-12. For more information, call 480-730-0205.
Family movie  night at center
The North Tempe Multigenerational Center hosts a free “Family Movie Night” 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 25. Enjoy a free film and free air conditioning! For more information, call 480-858-6500.

Summer sports camps continue
Summer time is camp time! Kiwanis Recreation Center is sponsoring and offering several summer sports camps for youth. From basketball to volleyball to soccer, the KRC has got your sport covered.
