| Applicants sought for small grants |

The Arizona Women's Partnership, a local, all-volunteer nonprofit that awards mini-grants to grass roots nonprofits that assist underserved women and children at risk, is accepting applications for its 2008 grants. Grant awards range from $500 to $2,000. The grant application, which is due by Jan. 31, 2008, is available by visiting www.azwp.org. Applicants must be 501 (c) 3 nonprofits, have a total operating budget of under $200,000, be non-sectarian, be in good financial standing and address the need of underserved women &/or children in Arizona. Founder Paula Cullison noted that the Arizona Women's Partnership has awarded over $80,000 in grants to local charities, since its formation in 2003. Applications will be review by the AZWP Advisory Committee in February and notifications will be sent in March. Grant checks will be mailed in June.
