Emerging business owners get help Self Employment Loan Fund (SELF) offers programs providing training, technical assistance and access to credit for emerging, low-income business owners, especially geared to women and minorities. SELF will hold an informational session 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the Computer Access Center at Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road. Registration not required. Mystery lovers share their passion The Mystery Lovers Club meets 10 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month in the Connections Café. Participants must provide their own copies of the books being discussed. The book for the Dec. 8 meeting is “A Grave Talent” by Laurie King, and for Jan. 5 the group will discuss “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” by Mohsin Hamid.
